Bart Koyle (July 2, 1955  – August 27, 2025)

 

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bart Koyle, beloved father, husband, stepfather, husband, and friend, who left us on August 27, 2025, at the age of 70.

Bart was born on July 2, 1955, in Burley, ID, to Marilyn and Dean Koyle. He grew up in Burley, where he developed a love for the outdoors and a deep commitment to serving others—values that guided his life and career.

Bart married Tammy Koyle in 1983, and they were blessed with three children Melissa, Megan, and Dylan. They were later divorced. He married Judy Koyle in 2004, and they were happily married till his passing. 

Bart dedicated many years of service as an EMT and firefighter with the Heyburn Fire Department and worked for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). His devotion to protecting and helping others was a true reflection of his generous heart, and he will be remembered not only for his commitment to service, but also for his sense of humor, his willingness to help everyone—especially his family—and the joy he brought to all who knew him.

Bart is survived by his wife, Judy; his children, Melissa (Joe), Megan (Jefferson), and Dylan; his stepchildren, Matt (Cheryl) and Lucas (Krysanna); his grandchildren, McKenzie, Stetson, Rylee, Jade, Aubree, Willow, Astoria, Bridger, and Ledger; his parents, Marilyn and Dean; and his siblings, Lynette (Greg) Jan (Chris), Joyce (Russell) and Brent (Michelle). He was preceded in death by his brothers, Brad and Steve.

A service to honor Bart’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Edgewater Dining and Spirits in Burley, Idaho.

Bart’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched through his service and love.
