Dear Elaine, how do you say goodbye until we meet again! Wow so many wonderful Memories!
Our families grew up together in Sacramento, Ca in the Gospel and were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I lived with my Aunt Joyce and Uncle Bill and their 7 boys which I considered part of my family! We all belonged to 4th ward a place called home! There’s a saying “It takes a neighborhood to raise a kid.” I remember our ward! We all worked together! Bore one another’s burdens. Had lots of gatherings for dinners, parties, weddings, picnics , swimming, 4th of July fireworks. Work parties cleaning yards and homes! Visiting the sick and elderly! Even attending the Temple and honoring and celebrating Pioneer Day! We also found time to share the Gospel with our family, friends and many more loved ones! So you could say we had a pretty tight knit ward! And it kept growing with more people joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! And thus dividing and dividing into more wards! That was just a a little background on how our ward was because it took a lot of hard work and serving in our ward from all the members. Elaine, Larry! I remember babysitting your children and you were so kind, loving and cheerful! Loved you guys and your lovely family! You became our relief Society president at least that's what I believe happened! and with your two counselors had such a wonderful Relief Society! You were so loving! Fun, amicable And you radiated the Savior in your countenance . When they released you guys and you time was up! I was so sad! Then I was called into the Relief Society presidency! How could I fill those Big boots!!! I remember visiting with you and asking questions so I could carry on the calling as well and wonderful as you and your counselors! I wanted to be like you Elaine ! You said in your sweet voice ya know That’s sweet of you but you Need to just be yourself and that’s what is needed listen to the Spirit! Jaydean Fox McKay
