Walter Russell Bobo, 79 year old Paul resident, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Cassia Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving friends.  Walter was born on November 12, 1936 in Wheeler, Texas to the late Walter Leonadus and Martha Alice (Sanders) Bobo.  On May 12, 1972 he married Gloria Coy.  He is survived by their adopted daughter Christine (John) Beavers and Gloria’s children, Cheryl, Brian, Anita and five grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister in-law, Kay Bobo-Petty and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and three brothers, Lee Bobo, Lonnie Bobo, Ramond Bobo; two sisters, Florence Daws and Belva Wolff. Walter was raised in Cushing, Oklahoma area and attended Happy Valley Grad School and graduated from Norfolk High School in Yale, Oklahoma.  He was raised on a farm and in his adult life he had his brother Ramond did custom hay haling and farming for others, operated a small engine shop.  He moved to Idaho in the early 70s’.  In later years he was a cross country truck driver until his retirement in 2006.  Walter loved being with family and friends, he is know as “Uncle Waddie” to all his nieces and nephews in Oklahoma.  He was a very out going person and never met a stranger.  He would always go the extra mile to help his neighbors and friends and loved life and laughter the most.  He has touched many lives and will be greatly missed.  Special thanks to all his care givers and to Dr. Graham for all he did for him in his final years.  A big thanks to Dan Hendricks, Wells Fargo Burley Branch and Morrison Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Paul Cemetery with Pastor Dan Hendricks, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, there has been an account set up at the Burley Wells Fargo Bank to help with funeral costs and other final expenses.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home 188 South  Hwy 24 in Rupert.
