Surrounded by her loved ones, Kathleen Dawna Larsen Holbrook slipped peacefully back Home on Friday evening, November 4, 2016. Kathleen was born in Soda Springs, Idaho on February 22, 1950. She was raised in Ashton and St. Anthony. She graduated from South Fremont High School in 1968, from Ricks College in 1970, and from the University of Idaho in 1972. While attending the university, Kathleen met and married Clifford B Holbrook in the Idaho Falls Temple December 23, 1971. Following Cliff’s graduation in 1973 she accompanied him for 20 years of service in the Marine Corps, and another 23 years of teaching school. She was his best friend, confidant and counselor. Kathleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a woman of great faith who served throughout her life in many Church positions including relief society, primary and cub scouts. She also served in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers organization. Kathleen was an excellent seamstress, cook and home maker. Her passion for books and reading rubbed off on all her children. Kathleen was never happier than when she was in the garden – vegetables, flowers or any plant. It didn’t matter. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Dawna Larsen, her sister Bethanne Allen and her brother Joseph Larsen. She is survived by her husband Clifford Holbrook, their children Skylar , Blake (Marie) Holbrook, Vanessa (Jason) Casper, Marika (Robert) Robinson, Shandra (Jacob) Roessler, and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Rupert Idaho Stake Center, 324 E 18^th Street. The viewing will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Highway 24, Rupert, Idaho and Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 9:00 am to 9:45 am at the Rupert Idaho Stake Center, 324 E 18^th Street, Rupert, Idaho. Interment will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Fish Haven Cemetery, Fish Haven, Idaho at 3:30 pm.
