Clarence Kay Franks, from Oakley and Rupert, born November 6, 1936, passed away December 22, 2016. Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend will be remembered in this life as a wonderful, kind, caring person who loved life and the people who were a part of it. Kay’s greatest joy was his family. Kay was a man of integrity, honesty, and fairness. He taught his children well. Kay lived his life passionately and loved driving semi-truck for Simplot. He also had a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing. He is survived by his wife Beth his children Kaylyn Franks, Kraig (Marti) Franks, Suzette (Gene) Brice, Burke Butler, 9 grand children, 10 great grand children. Siblings, Alllen (Karen) Franks and Sharon (Dale) Blanthorn. He is proceeded in death by his parents, George and Myrna Franks; two brothers, James and Keith; and one daughter (Kimalee); and one grandson (Cameron). One son (Kevin) followed shortly after. His family will miss him so much. We are grateful to know that families are forever. Memories of his life will be celebrated July 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. near Oakley, Idaho at a location to be determined. After the gathering there will be a final fishing trip at the Oakley Reservoir, one of his favorite fishing holes.
