After many years of fighting the effects of radiation treatment she left this physical world. She was at home, where she wanted to be. Gwen loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, floating down the Boise and Salmon Rivers, she enjoyed white-water rafting when she could. She was an avid seamstress and crocheted many articles for family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandchildren immensely, in fact she enjoyed all times spent with family. She married Mike Hayden in 1976. Gwen graduated from Burley High School 1976, continued her education at CSI after High School, and at ITT in the late eighties.
Born in Hayward, California to Vernon and Colleen Nordin. She is survived by her husband Mikel (Mike) Hayden, father Vernon Nordin Burley; son Tim Hayden (Kirsten) Salmon, Idaho; son Shaun Hayden (Anne Russell) Boise Idaho. Sister Nancy Korb (Randy) Burley, Idaho; brothers Robert Nordin Boise Idaho; David (Jitka) Nordin Avondale, Arizona. Grandchildren: Taylor Furey, Jake Hayden, Ryan Hayden, Lauren Hayden, Parker Hayden, Sydney Hayden, T.J. Russell, Miranda Hayden, and Ella Hayden. A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held at: Patty and Kelly Heinze home, Sunday July 23. 3000 E. 490 S. Declo, Idaho. Starting at 1:00 pm. Bring a side dish, a drink, a lawn chair, and stories to share. Cremation services will be completed by Morrison Funeral, Rupert Idaho. Her ashes will be spread at a later date by family.
