Our sweet Matthew Kearl Bolingbroke, 18, of Rexburg, passed away on July 24, 2017.  He was born December 13, 1998 in Sparks, Nevada, the son of Michael and Vickie (Savage) Bolingbroke.  He attended school in Sparks and later moved to Rexburg where he graduated from Madison High School in 2017.  Matthew was joyful, kind, and good, a light to those around him. 

Matt was a member of the varsity baseball team and an Eagle Scout.   He loved to fish and hunt and be in the outdoors. He had been accepted to Brigham Young University in Provo and had received a mission call to serve in the Texas, McAllen Spanish speaking mission. Matt was loved by all who knew him, and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents Michael and Vickie (Savage) Bolingbroke; sister Sara (Eric) Hansen; brother David (Mara) Bolingbroke; brother Adam (Kendall) Bolingbroke; brother Joshua Bolingbroke and sister Hannah Bolingbroke.  He also leaves his maternal grandparents David and Carlene Savage and paternal grandmother Yvonne Bolingbroke as well as four nephews and one niece and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his grandfather Cleve Smith Bolingbroke.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 29, 2017 at the Rexburg South Stake Center 2041 W. 5200 S. Rexburg, Idaho. Burial will follow at Sutton Cemetery in Archer Idaho. A one hour viewing will be held on Friday July 28, 2017 from 7-8 p.m. at the Rexburg South Stake Center. A private family viewing will be held Saturday prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the LDS Church General Mission Fund. Services are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Rupert, Idaho.
