Lynn Jay Egbert, 73 year old Heyburn resident, passed away peacefully Monday, November 13, 2017 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello surrounded by his family.

Lynn was born on February 4, 1944 in Vallejo, California, the son of Renaldo and Yvonne Hale Egbert. Lynn grew up in California and spent his last year in high school in Oakley where he graduated in 1961. He joined the United States Airforce right out of high school. He married Mary McGuire on August 13, 1976 in Elko, Nevada. And took on the responsibility of being a dad to her five children. Lynn was an avid hunter and fisherman. Lynn is survived by his wife Mary and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert with Military Rites following the service. A viewing will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 Friday evening, November 17, 2017 at the Morrison Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday.
