Violet Viola Amen, age 81, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, March 21st, 2020, in Twin Falls, Idaho at Bridgeview Estates. She had previously lived at Heritage Assisted Living in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Violet was born March 29th, 1938, in Regan, North Dakota, to Christ and Martha Wageman. She then moved to Idaho and spent the rest of her life in the Mini-Cassia area until moving to Twin Falls (Heritage Assisted Living) in 2018 with her husband, Jerome (Jerry).
Violet was a loving, devoted wife to Jerome (Jerry) Amen for almost 64 years. They were married in Burley on March 21st, 1955. She passed away on what would have been their 65th wedding anniversary.
Violet and Jerry are the parents of 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Their children by name and their spouses: Danny (Cindy) Amen, Lonny (Vicky) Amen, Jonny (Karyn) Amen, Gina (Barry) Ames, and Jeremy C. Amen.
Violet held the most important job of all. Caring for and raising 5 children as the best mother anyone could imagine. She worked for King’s in their warehouse when she was younger, as well. When she had time, she also helped out in various school lunch rooms and worked for the state during harvest inspection.
Violet’s interests always included her family. She enjoyed the outdoors and made the most amazing memories camping with them. She had a very strong faith in God and attended the First Christian Church in Rupert, ID where she helped out with vacation bible school and other activities as needed. She also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She had an amazing singing voice, and, speaking from her child’s point of view, it was always comforting to listen to it as she went about her daily routine. As she got older, she enjoyed Wild West themed movies and family gatherings around the holidays. There was never a dull moment with her around. She always had something funny to interject into the conversation.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; son, Lonny; and her daughter-in-law, Vicky. Violet is survived by 4 of her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.
The family of Violet would like to extend a gracious thank you to Heritage Assisted Living for providing a year and a half of care, and to Bridgeview Estates for offering her comfort in her final days with us.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Paul Pine Chapel.

I love you so much and I miss you more than you can even imagine. I text your old phone number almost every day. Maybe God can get the messages to you until we meet again. I'm so glad I was able to hold your hand, and be with you, when you went home to JESUS and grandpa. I hope you have a breathtaking mansion in heaven with grandpa, that has an amazing yard, with gorgeous flowers, and a lot of beautiful birds to watch. You deserve to be at peace, free from pain, and full of joy where there will be no more crying. Thank you for having a kind and beautiful soul! Thank you for the unconditional love that you always showed me and being a true mom to me.

I will LOVE you ALWAYS AND FOREVER,
your MITZI
