Delbert Earl (Sonny) Sutliff Lifelong resident of Rupert, Idaho. Passed away 2/23/2022 at the age of 83, at Cassia Regional hospital.

Delbert worked construction for Bradshaw construction until he retired in 2000.

Delbert is survived by his 3 children Peggy Sue (Rick) Drummond of Rupert ID, Chris (Rebecca) Welker-Sutliff of Jerome ID and Herb (Dorothy) Sutliff of Burley ID. Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great- Great Grandchildren, who were all the light of his life.

Delbert is preceded in death by his wife Helen Darlene (Lewis) Sutliff, sons Mike Sutliff and Doug Sutliff, son in law Rick Drummond.

Parents Delbert Fred Sutliff & Dorothy Elizabeth (Shipley) Sutliff. Brothers Denny Sutliff, Ron Sutliff and Sisters Dorothy Jean Sutliff, Evelyn Cisneros and Sandra Bufton.

Mother and Father-in-law Elmer Lee Lewis and Dora Evelyn (Cooley) Lewis. Brother-in-laws Harold Lewis, Lee Lewis, Timothy Lewis and Jerry Cooley. Sister-in-laws Dorothy Brizendine, Louise Lewis, Margie Moore and Sandy Lewis.

Delbert was born on 7/31/1938 in Ozark Michigan to Delbert Fred Sutliff & Dorothy Elizabeth (Shipley) Sutliff. Joined the navy in 1955 at the age of 17. He met and married the love of his life Helen Lewis in Amity Yamhill Oregon, on April 1^st, 1959. Delbert enjoyed a happy life doing what he loved as in, hunting, fishing, dutch oven cooking, horse races, chili cook offs and spending time with his family.

He made friends where he went, he would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by so many people, but none more than his family.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 South Hwy 24 in Rupert with Military Rites provided by the Mini-Cassia Veterans. a luncheon will follow at the Burley Senior Center in Burley Id. Urn placement will take place at the View Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
