Emma McGuern, 56, of Heyburn passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Portneuf Medical Center, Pocatello, Idaho.
Emma was born on October 14, 1965, in Portland, Oregon to Arthur L. Melugin and M. Evelyn L. Melugin. Emma joined her older siblings, Mary, Larry, & Nancy at home in Mollala, Oregon. When Emma was about 13 months old the family moved to Deer Lodge, Montana. After about eleven years the family again moved to Oakley, Idaho. Then in 1979 they moved to Burley.
When Emma was 18 years old, she married Brian McGuern. Later that year they welcomed their son Brian Jr. A few years later they were happy to expand their family by adding Heather Ann. Another few years and the final addition, Harley, arrived. The family loved to be together out in nature, whether it was camping, fishing, or hunting. As the kids got older Brian and Emma bought themselves Harley Davidson motorcycles, which they loved to take on road trips.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur L. Melugin, and M. Evelyn L. Melugin. She is survived by her husband, Brian, her children, Brian Jr. (Skye), Heather (Joe) Chandler of Twin Falls, and Harley, her grandchildren, Anthony, Edward, Braelynn, Nevaeh, D.J., Tim, Cole, Zoie, Julie, Adrian, and great-grandchildren, Ky, and Jonah, her siblings, Mary (George) Brisbin, Larry Melugin, Nancy (John) Windell of El Paso, Texas, her many nieces & nephews whom she loved and who loved her very much, her aunts and uncles, Carl & Lois Melugin, Frank & Laura Larsen, Carol Thomson, & Ruth Sims, and twenty three cousins and their families. As well as her many adopted “family” members too numerous to name.
As per Emma’s request there will not be a funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for the family. Please share with us your favorite story about her in her honor.

Aunt Emma was a wonderful woman who loved everyone and was kind. I remember every Christmas her whole house was blue because it was her favorite color. Blue lights, decorations, and candy canes. Also, she loved salt shakers and I was so excited when my family got her a motorcycle salt shaker SET. She was an amazing woman with a great attitude. Always looking out for others and wanting to help. I will miss her and wish the best for her family who loved her greatly.
