LELAND YARBROUGH
Leland Edward Yarbrough passed away on July 23, 2025 at Parkview Care Center in Burley, Idaho after a long illness.
Lee was born in Wendell, Idaho on April 30, 1947 to Andrew Kenneth and Annie Mae Olander Yarbrough. He was raised in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1966. Lee married Deanna Matheney in 1974 and they were blessed with a son, Kenneth Austin, in 1977. They were later divorced.
Lee worked for many years for Me-n-Eds Pizza in Twin Falls and Idaho Falls. So many people remember eating there with family and friends. Lee later worked at
Burley Care Center in Maintenance and retired from there.
Lee was active as a youth in the Boys Scouts of America attaining an Eagle Scout Citation in 1964. He was especially active as a youth in fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles in the hills and mountains of his beloved Idaho.
As an adult Lee was active in hunting and fishing both rafting Idaho rivers and hiking mountain ranges. He was especially active in the Palisades Area, Island Park and the Salmon. He hunted Elk on Sawtelle Mountain, Stanley, and many areas of Eastern and Northern Idaho. He guided many friends down the Salmon River fishing for Salmon and Steelhead. There were trips to Alaska flying in to fish. He hunted many species of big game and birds.
Lee is survived by his son, Kenneth of Eagle, Idaho, and a brother Jack Yarbrough (Karen) of Hagerman and many nieces and nephews. Lee had many good friends through the years.
His parents pre-deceased him as well as sisters and brothers, Arlene, Linda, Larry and Jim.

I have lots of memories as a child as Lee would go fish and hunt game with us a lot. For some reason we always ended up at a place called Me-n-Ed's I can still smell the aroma. You will be missed. Doug Perrine
