Pam (Galow) Mills, 53 year old Burley resident, passed away Suddenly on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona.  Patricia Ann Martinez was born March 17, 1961 in Rupert to Samuel J. Martinez and Ann Hunter Martinez.  After graduating from Minico High School, she attended Idaho State University.  She earned a B. S. and Master’s Degree from Boise State University.  She married Mike Galow in 1986 and moved to Hawaii, where she had her two daughters: Lindsey and Taylor.  She received her teaching certification from the University of Hawaii and began her career in special education in 1999.  In 2002 she and the girls returned to Idaho, where she taught at Burley Jr. High School.  She has been teaching at Burley High School since 2011. In June 2010, she met fellow teacher Craig Mills and they instantly fell in love.  They were married on January 2, 2014.  Pam was preceded in death by her father, Sam Martinez.  She is survived by her husband, Craig Mills of Burley, her mother Ann Solosabal of Rupert, brothers James (Lynnette) Martinez of Paul and Chris (Nena) Martinez of Vancouver, WA,  her daughters Lindsey (Jimmy) Burnett of Phoenix, AZ, Taylor Galow of Boise, stepchildren Jake Mills, and Molly Mills, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pam loved her job, and was a fierce advocate for her students, fellow teachers, and her friends. A memorial service will be held at l p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Rupert United Methodist Church at 6th & H Street in Rupert, with a gathering to follow at the St. Matthews Parish Hall at 6th and I Street. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Burley Special Olympics program or to a Ronald McDonald House.
