Madalyn passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1st. She lived a long and happy life, finally being able to join her lifelong love, Darwin, in heaven.

Madalyn was born and raised in Oakley, Idaho. She married her high school sweetheart, Darwin Crane, on June 15, 1944 in the Salt Lake temple. While living in Idaho, they had three children. Farming was tough in Idaho, so they moved to California in 1954, following which their fourth child was born. She worked for many years at Crown Zellerbach. Throughout her life, Madalyn was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She worked in many callings, but particularly enjoyed serving the children in Primary and being a temple worker.
Madalyn's greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by three devoted children, Darwin Russell (Eileen) of Orem, Utah; Richard Bowman (Karen) of Castro Valley, California; and Ruth Cambra (Dan) of Price, Utah. She has been blessed with 23 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Darwin; her daughter, Shanna Reed (Morgan); and her grandson, Perry Crane. She will be missed by all.
A visitation was held on Friday, March 10th, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 859 Grant Avenue in San Lorenzo. Burial to take place at 2:00 pm March 25, 2017 in Oakley, Idaho.
